Home to multinational companies, trading firms, financial institutions, and international organisations, Geneva offers students direct access to one of the world’s most influential business ecosystems.

From international trade and finance to diplomacy and entrepreneurship, Geneva brings together opportunities rarely found in a city of its size, creating an inspiring place to learn, grow, and launch a career.

What you need to know

  • International students planning to study in Switzerland must obtain the appropriate visa or residence permit before arriving, depending on their nationality. Requirements differ significantly for EU/EFTA and non-EU/EFTA citizens. As visa applications can take up to 12 weeks to process, we recommend starting the procedure well in advance. Please contact us for assistance.

International student portrait

ESM gave me the confidence to apply what I learned straight away. Working on real projects during my studies made the transition into my role feel natural. I didn't just understand the theory, I knew how to use it.
