What you need to know
International students planning to study in Switzerland must obtain the appropriate visa or residence permit before arriving, depending on their nationality. Requirements differ significantly for EU/EFTA and non-EU/EFTA citizens. As visa applications can take up to 12 weeks to process, we recommend starting the procedure well in advance. ESM gave me the confidence to apply what I learned straight away. Working on real projects during my studies made the transition into my role feel natural. I didn't just understand the theory, I knew how to use it.
